We want you to be confident in your subscription. This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for all Obscura plans and purchases.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Billing page in your dashboard. When you cancel, you retain full access to the platform until the end of your current billing period. No further charges will be made after cancellation.
Monthly subscriptions (Scout, Strategist, or Oracle) are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase, provided you have not accessed more than 2 full briefings during that period. After 7 days or after accessing more than 2 full briefings, no refund will be issued, but you may cancel to prevent future charges.
Annual subscriptions are eligible for a prorated refund within 30 days of your initial purchase. The refund amount will be calculated based on the number of full months remaining in your subscription, minus any briefings accessed at their individual unlock price. After 30 days, no refund will be issued, but you may cancel to prevent renewal.
One-time briefing unlock purchases ($149) are non-refundable once the full briefing content has been accessed. If you purchased a briefing unlock in error and have not viewed the full content, contact us within 24 hours for a refund.
Single custom scan purchases ($750) are non-refundable once the scan has been initiated by our analyst team. If you submitted a scan request in error, contact us as soon as possible. If work has not yet begun, a full refund will be issued.
When you upgrade your plan mid-billing cycle, you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current period. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing period. No partial refunds are issued for downgrades.
We encourage you to contact us directly before filing a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. Chargebacks incur processing fees and can result in immediate account suspension. We are committed to resolving billing disputes quickly and fairly.
To request a refund, email theobscuraspace@gmail.com with your account email address and the reason for your request. We respond to all refund requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.
If Obscura experiences a service outage lasting more than 48 consecutive hours, affected subscribers will receive a prorated credit on their next billing cycle. This does not apply to scheduled maintenance windows.
